Description

Rybelsus (semaglutide) is a once-daily prescription medication used for managing type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, which help regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin production, decreasing glucagon secretion, and slowing gastric emptying. Rybelsus comes in the form of an orally disintegrating tablet, available in three strengths: 3 mg, 7 mg, and 14 mg.

Storage Guide
  1. Storage temperatures: Store Rybelsus at room temperature, between 68°F and 77°F (20°C and 25°C). Avoid storing it in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in direct sunlight.

  2. **Expiration:**Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Do not use Rybelsus after the expiration date stated on the label.

  3. Medication disposal: If you no longer need Rybelsus, follow your healthcare provider or pharmacist's instructions on how to safely discard it. Do not flush the medication down the toilet or pour it into a drain.

  4. Avoid contact: Keep Rybelsus and the packaging out of reach of children and pets. If accidental ingestion occurs, contact the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222

  1. Dosing: Take Rybelsus exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Each tablet is placed on or under the tongue and allowed to dissolve, with or without drinking water. Dosing frequencies may vary, so it's essential to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully.

  2. Taking Rybelsus: Use dry hands to handle the tablet. Do not swallow the tablet with water or chew it. Allow it to dissolve completely before swallowing.

  3. Mixing with other medications: Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.Do not take Rybelsus within 1 hour before or 30 minutes after taking other oral medications or supplements, as this may affect how your body absorbs Rybelsus.

  4. Mealtime: Rybelsus can be taken at any time, with or without food. However, follow your healthcare provider's instructions for the appropriate mealtime based on your insulin or other diabetes medication.

  5. Effectiveness: Rybelsus may take up to 14 days to show its full effect on your blood sugar levels. Regular follow-up appointments with your healthcare provider are essential to monitor your progress and make adjustments to your dosage, if necessary.
