1. Consult your healthcare professional before starting treatment with Contrave. This medication is not appropriate for everyone, and your doctor must evaluate if it's right for you. 2. Follow your healthcare provider's instructions when taking Contrave. It comes as a sublingual tablet (tablet placed under the tongue). 3. Start with a single tablet (0.5mg bupropion/36mg naltrexone) once daily for 7 days, then gradually increase the dose as instructed by your healthcare professional. 4. Do not crush, chew, or swallow Contrave tablets. Place the tablet under your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely. It may take up to an hour for the tablet to dissolve. 5. Swallow any remaining crumbs with a glass of water. 6. Take Contrave at the same time every day, with or without food. 7. If you feel the need to eat less often, try to schedule your Contrave dosing around your meal times. 8. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's close to the time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your normal dosing schedule.
